what does it mean to have 'vision'?
—
To have 'vision' is to examine a potential future, a potential reality that sets itself in your mind's eye, and to create it. Vision gives reason for actions, choices, hopes, and desires, and it is my duty to see those visions to their fullest extent.
With my work, I have been lucky enough to shape voices that matter, explore actions in color, and make every subject's hopes known. I want to unveil my subject's power, in their brightest highlights and deepest shadows.
My work has been published internationally in over 30 music and fashion publications, as a photographer, creative director, and lighting designer. Of those, I'm honored to have had my work in Alternative Press, Vogue Italia, Wonderland., COMPLEX, DJ Mag (US/UK), Numéro Netherlands, Galore, and many more. My work as a director and video creator has been recognized by the Indie Shorts Fest (part of the Los Angeles International Film Festival) and Dam Film Fest 2023, with nominations for Best Director, Best Music Video, and Best Original Song.
In my visions, I see a world brimming with queerness, technicolor, and highlights that interplay the dark shadows of our current world. A world that remembers the past but embraces an experimentative future, where queer subjects and differing identities feel powerful. Every skill I have developed over the past 8 years in media has chased my goals of representation, identity, and power. I've prided myself on developing every facet of a project until the vision feels whole, and until I have brought into our reality a fraction of the power I want people to feel.
So, if you want to formulate a brand with a purpose, memorialize a memory, or explore a new medium for your voice, do it with someone who has a vision for that bright future.
I know we will create something beautiful.
